Ted Dennard taught beekeeping to village farmers in Central America while in the Peace Corps.  Years later he quit his job, mortgaged his home and put all his money into creating the Savannah Bee Company.

Savannah Bee Company has always made a point to help out charities on both the local and national levels.   Ted started The Bee Cause Project with plans to install 1,000 Observation Hives in Schools across the country to educate children the importance of what honeybees do for our environment.

Owner Leslie Tucker Carey attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in the mid-90s and fell in love with the city.  Bikram Yoga Savannah opened its doors in April 2010

Each week Leslie holds a "Karma Thursday" class with all proceeds going to  local charities.

"The Karma Class is a great way for us to give back to this wonderful community. It also allows us to offer a weekly class to people who otherwise could not afford yoga." -  Leslie Carey

Johnnie Ganems is a local icon in the city of Savannah, GA.  In a city where you can get your drink "to go" and walk the streets with an open container, locals take their beverages seriously.

Johnnie Ganem's routinely holds fund raising events in their "Rebel Room", located above the retail store.  Proceeds from wine tastings go to local charities in the Savannah area.

Charity organizer, Marianne Ganem Poppell is the heart and sould of the Johnnie Ganmems business.  She is all about the 3 F's:  Family, Fun, and Fundraising.
